Battlegroup 2024> Articles by: ehasa

Greetings fellow NRG fighters! Northern Royal Guard HQ will be formed by Kyrö Company. Kyrö is a mission oriented, experienced union of teams. For us leadership is about coordination, motivation, and support. We are thankful for the trust laid on us, and are honored to have this group of skillful players under our command. The three of us, Mikko Koho, Ville Hietikko and Jere Satela all have a long history of HQ-work in airsoft and milsim-scenarios. We will do our best to ensure a great game for all NRG players!

To contact HQ, you can send email: northern.royal.guard@gmail.com

As people have noticed, the Coalition of Nordberg faction is now full. We will open 10 slots for both mechanized infantry and normal infantry at Tuesday 19:00 finnish time. (The sign up will be closed for short time before that.)

We won’t open more slots for now, as we (and you players) want that people would join or change to Northern Royal Guard also. They don’t need to be fully balanced, thanks to game area, but we would like to see the numbers go up.

Changing side is free and if you are willing to do so, email us info@ehasa.org

As many have noticed we are still looking the commander for Northern Royal Guard faction.

Sometimes previously we have taken the command with Ehasa member acting as commander, but this time we have made decision not to do so because it takes away important resource from us. We also know, that our airsoft community has many potential leaders able to take the next step and learn and grow up as faction leader. This way we can also have dedicated GM member as Faction HQ liason between the HQs and Head Gamemasters as intended for this event. Also we know, that NRG will be easy to lead, as the faction has already strong core from well known KYRÖ company who know how to play (and how to lead them and other players). So the help from GM and other players is there to be given to the new brave leader.

But before this new leader takes his place, we have already made an email for this faction. We hope that those who have already established squad, platoon or company and who are volunteer leaders for those, would email their info (name, possible strength, possible vehicle(s) and contact info) to this faction email. That way we GMs can already prepare stuff before the actual command takes it over.

The Northern Royal Guard email is: northern.royal.guard@gmail.com

They will sometimes record stuff as Offgame, but they will try to work as much as possible Ingame. We GMs hope, that you tell your stories to them and let them to record events as much as possible. If needed, material can also be published after it is safe from operational security perspective.

MilQuest is once again offering their help with online bootcamp for you to be ready for coming Battlegroup 24 event!

The bootcamp offers functional training – with focus on strength, agility and speed. The training is heavily inspired by special forces preparation training. You always work with your entire body, to become as effective as possible in the field.

During the 4 weeks of the Bootcamp (24 June – 21 July 2024), every week you will receive 3 weekly workouts and a weekend challenge. The fourth and final weekend challenge is the Battlegroup 24 milsim event itself.

The weekly workouts take about 15-45 minutes and are designed to build your strength and agility. The weekend challenges are longer and are designed to simulate the milsim experience.

With better fitness you will also receive Candidate patch (in welcome letter) and if you finish 100% the bootcamp, you get the Finisher patch (in picture) during Battlegroup 24 check-in progess.

The bootcamp is on MilQuest GREEN level. It is designed to challenge those who are already training regularly. Recommended entry level fitness info you will find at the bootcamp website:

Hello everyone!

I’m Ari Salonen and in the upcoming Battlegroup 2024 event I’ll be the battalion commander of the Nordberg’s coalition. I am 30 years old and come from Capital region of Finland, but I currently live in Northern Ostrobothnia.

Airsoft more or less 15 years behind, and probably many people recognize my face from previous TSTOS game series events. The most recent TSTOS I have served in various command positions, latest role as a battalion deputy commander. I have also played a crew role in mechanized and infantry.

In my new responsible role I don’t consider “winning” as the number one goal, but instead of that I hope everyone gets the best possible gaming experience from this event!

After all we’re just having fun here, or what?

Contacts primarily to HQ’s email: uusimaahq@gmail.com, and urgent contacts via Discord:

See you in Battlegroup 2024 -event!

New video showing some parts of the game area. Please remember to subscribe to our Youtube-channel!

Notice: At the moment we have not yet decided which faction will be the “defender” or the “attacker” on the story wise but at the start of the game one faction will have had time to set up defenses on the game area and other faction can plan from where they’ll attack the area. The balance of the factions will decide which one is attacking.

Last time we made bigger player inquiry was back at 2018 so it is time to do it again.

This helps us to advertise our events for other players and for authorities/land owners. It also helps us to make our events and finnish airsoft better in general. Answering won´t take long and it will be anonymous.

We hope that everyone will answer the survey after reading these websites carefully.

The year 2024 will bring us a new former training area of the Defense Forces, which is located near the Halli Airport. The new event area will be very good and will enable an excellent game experience for both mechanized and infantry players, although drone pilots will have to be even more precise when flying, due to the proximity of the airport.

With the new area, we also decided to create a new story and main factions, which we hope will become important among players in the next few years. As far as civilians are concerned, the game is also free for the players’ own ideas, and they must be communicated to the game masters in advance.

In addition to these, the following changes are also planned:

  • The age limit is 18 years, but if you are coming with other adults and you are at least 16 years old, then send open email: info@ehasa.org
  • The civilian village will be able to be captured by the main factions, after which the civilians are recommended (but not required) to support the activities of that faction.
  • The plan is that in the future the game props would have an identification code, based on which you could find out their special rules and task instructions via a separate online search engine. In this way, it would be easier to write and edit prop instructions in different events in the future and it would be better to avoid misunderstandings. We will tell you more about this when the system has been created.
  • It is now emphasized on the pages that Special and reconnaissance forces can only move with their own ATVs/bikes, but not with their own cars. Cooperation with the mechanized is of course allowed.
  • We will use small amounts of Ehasa Trustee players, who will be recognized by their own badge. Their job is to increase the game master’s eyes on the field, but they don’t make decisions.
  • The plan is to have Brgr In’s food trucks serving players at both main bases. Registration still takes place at a separate game management point, where other partners can be found during event registration.
  • For washing we plan that players would have tent saunas at main bases and have “cold showers” with tarps, wet room carpets, tubs and rechargeable excursion/portable showers. The HQ will be having spare ones recharging, if the batteries run out. Also there are small lakes next to the main bases.
  • During the check-in we will check your armbands and deathrag that they will comply with the rules or the customer will buy those during check-in.
  • Those squads which don’t have ingame vehicle will get the option to have one “service car” for their squad in a specific area close by to the faction base. Faction HQ will be responsible for handing these “service vehicle” number permits which will be visually shown in the vehicle. You can read more about this from the Info – General – Parking section. Other offgame vehicles will be parked at offgame-parking area which will be inside the game-area.
  • The price of game tickets has been slightly increased and the price of the ticket increases according to the player’s numbers. In addition, we strive to balance the factions by limiting the number of tickets, and always opening more of them as they fill. We always advertise this via Discord if necessary.

The rules have also been reviewed once again so that they always stay up to date:

  • The “Mobile Field Hospital Vehicles” introduced last year are now allowed 2 units per main factions.
  • Added a new Mine Clearing Vehicle (MCV), which is allowed 1 per main factions.
  • Added a new Class 4 vehicle class for armored vehicles and Mine Clearing Vehicles.
  • Unified Class 2 vehicle class behavior after the fix (now takes 2 new hits after the fix, previously read it could only take 1 new hit.)
  • Modified that bicycles can also be newer/complex nowadays. As long as they are not brightly colored.
  • Emphasized that when flying Drones, you must know the different flying restrictions prevailing in the area.
  • Modified rules related to special features of the game area (especially caves)
  • Several minor spelling changes

In the end, we remind you that now that we are in Halli and near Jämsä, it is worth taking a look at our New player – tips for a new player page. We have listed there the food and accommodation companies and other services that are in the area.

In the future, we will publish news here on the event page, and we also recommend that you join Ehasa’s Discord server and follow us on Facebook, Youtube and Instagram!
